The Model 2920/2922 peeler, represents a major change for the company in how we design and build our famous food processing equipment. It truly represents what we call "The Shape of Things to Come." 

The Model 2920/2922 peeler was the focus of an extensive test program in a production facility where Vanmark was given the rare opportunity to evaluate design changes under “real world”, factory conditions.  Based on test results and input from our customer, our R & D team was able to optimize the design for best performance under a wide range of conditions.

The test program allowed Vanmark to try out some advanced design concepts, such as our unique “Natural Flow Gate”, that would simply have not been possible in a laboratory setting.  The new gate has since been introduced to the marketplace as an upgrade to the Series 2700 and 2800 peeler / washers with incredible acceptance.  In virtually every case where it has been installed, the Natural Flow Gate has made significant improvement to peeler efficiency.   Independently tested and verified.

A member of the design team commented that the new gate is something that has been a long time coming, simply because we have never been able to simulate the test conditions necessary to properly evaluate the design approach. The Natural Flow Gate has proven to work extremely well in improving peeler efficiency.  It is a standard feature of the Model 2920/2922 peeler.

Many other exciting innovations are built into this new peeler to enhance the original time-proven Vanmark design. Some of these are visible and immediately apparent, while others are more subtle and only become apparent when performance and overall efficiencies are compared against those of older models and competitive machines.

NEW Delrin® Discharge Bearing Block	New bearing block is machined from food grade Delrin® plastic.  Improved resistance to moisture and hot sanitizing solutions.
All stainless steel construction	No mild steel to cause corrosion problems.
"J-Bed" roller bed design	A Vanmark exclusive.  Much greater efficiency than older "U-Bed" designs.
NEW "Waste grids" on both sides of the peeling chamber	A new Vanmark innovation - these waste grids help get rid of peeling waste quickly, improving efficiency.
