Vanmark's Versatile
Rotary Washer
Vanmark's new Rotary Washer could be the simple solution to your difficult processing application. Because of its unique “panelized” drum design, it can serve many different functions in your operation. The wide variety of configurations available give it unmatched versatility. For example, one of our first customers set it up as a general purpose washer to remove splits, skins and other debris from string beans and lima beans by using the stainless steel rodded drum option. It can be used to wash peas, carrots, celery, and diced vegetables using a similar setup. Several rod diameters and spacings are available to meet your needs. The rodded drum can be replaced with a perforated metal drum or stainless steel wire mesh panels, both with various degrees of "openness" to match your application. This option is being used by another customer to remove debris from process water. Another configuration is being used to process peppers. By adding a range of abrasives to the inside of unperforated drum panels, the Rotary Washer can become a scrubber suited to many hard-to-clean products. It can also be configured as a rotary dip tank by simply changing the ends of the unit to provide the depth of liquid desired. Product movement and retention time can be controlled by the variable speed drive and optional drum flighting to gently move the product along. The Vanmark Rotary Washer was designed for versatility, simplicity, low maintenance, and ease of operation. The drum is supported by and rotates on four anti-friction trunion wheels that require no grease, thus avoiding potential product contamination and simplifying maintenance. The power unit is a compact 3/4 hp inverter-duty gear motor and friction wheel drive. This simple setup allows rotation to be adjusted during processing to match the product conditions. An optional spray bar located in the center of the drum continuously washes the tumbling product while another spray bar located outside the drum cleans the drum and tank. All stainless steel construction, curved inlet chute, water tight tank, and round leg supports
all add up to a cleaner processing operation and reduced costs.
There are no square corners where debris can collect. Vanmark quality is built into every unit and our smooth, simple design is USDA approved. |
